We are making some changes to the season for 2025 In House Baseball. Over the past few years we have seen a large number of cancellations due to weather and wet fields. Our hope is that moving the season back on the calendar we will avoid some of these cancelations and not lose so much baseball. The season will now open the week of May 19th and conclude by July 25th. We will take the week of June 30th through July 4th off for the holiday. We understand this is a departure from previous years. Please understand that we all know summer get extremely busy, and missing time during the season is not a major concern.
When Will the Season Start?
Our plan is to begin the season the week of May 19th. We are shifting out season back this year in attempt to reduce the amount of time lost over the last few years due to weather.
When Will the Season End?
The season will the week of July 21st. We are moving the season back on the calendar as the last few years have seen a lot of lost time due to weather.
Which Level Should My Child Play?
While we talk about age, our primary focus is to keep players with their grade. Pre-K and Kindergartners should play as Rookies, and 1st and 2nd Graders should sign up for the Minors. If you have a special circumstance please feel free to reach out with any concerns.
What Nights of the Week are Games/Practices?
Rookies (5/6u) plays on Monday and Wednesday Evenings. Minors (7/8u) plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is subject to change if there is conflicts, though we do not anticipate any changes. We have start times of 5:30 and 7:00, with practices or games lasting an hour and a half.
What Equipment do We Need?
Each player will need tennis shoes or cleats, a glove, a bat, and a batting helmet. Each player will receive a hat, uniform shirt, and pants. Each team will have any other equipment that is needed.
Are There Friend Requests?
Rookies (5/6u): Yes, both players need to request each other during the registration process. No other communication is needed.
Minors (7/8u): No, we use a draft system in an attempt to keep the teams equal in talent and experience. It’s not a perfect system and we are always working to improve it.
What is Uniform Day?
Uniform Day is an opportunity to meet your coach and pick up your uniform before the season starts. If you are participating in the Minors, it is when you will turn in your Volunteer Check. The check will be required for your player to receive their uniform. We will communicate the date once it is confirmed.
What is the Volunteer Check?
Starting in Minors, we require a check for $400. The check is held and if you fulfill your required volunteer hours (8 hours per family) the check will be destroyed. There is plenty of information in the Volunteer Corner of the website. Only one check is required per family.
Is there an End of the Year Tournament?
We are making a few changes this year in regards to a tournament and jamboree. We will hold a mid season Jamboree involving all of our 5-8 In House players. Our Minors will have a year end tournament worked into the last week or so of their season and will be played during their regular game times.
The Jamboree is something we are trying to continue to build. Our goal is to create a great community event for all the families to enjoy a Saturday of baseball in different setting. More details will be communicated as they are confirmed.
