Our Program

Rookies (5/6):
This program is designed to start teaching kids the fundamentals of playing baseball. A lot of time is spent on simply throwing, catching, and hitting. We start introducing basic game play in or scrimmages. No score is kept, and every player gets to play every position and get a turn to hit every inning. Our goal is to lay the foundation to build upon as your player advances through the years. It is also to develop the love of baseball while teaching teamwork and perseverance.

Minors (7/8):
Here, we will build upon the foundation we started in Coach Pitch. Machine pitch will start to look and feel a little more like a baseball game. Score will be kept and outs are counted. We will continue to focus on fundamentals and teaching the game while introducing some competition.

Our In-House Baseball League is a developmental league and our first priority is to teach the sport and generate a love of the game so the players want to continue to come back.

Frequently Asked Questions

We will publish when we anticipate the season to start. It may be earlier or later than planned. It depends on the weather and when the city can open the fields. We will communicate any changes to our plan as soon as we have them.

When Will the Season End?
Our Rookies program will wrap up before 7/4. While our Minors program will wrap up with the tournament on 6/29.

Which Level Should My Child Play?
While we talk about age, our primary focus is to keep players with their grade. Pre-K and Kindergartners should play as Rookies, and 1st and 2nd Graders should sign up for the Minors. If you have a special circumstance please feel free to reach out with any concerns.

Are There Friend Requests?
Rookies (5/6u):
Yes, both players need to request each other during the registration process. No other communication is needed.
Minors (7/8u): No, we use a draft system in an attempt to keep the teams equal in talent and experience. It’s not a perfect system and we are always working to improve it.

What is Uniform Day?
Uniform Day is an opportunity to meet your coach and pick up your uniform before the season starts. If you are participating in the Minors, it is when you will turn in your Volunteer Check. The check will be required for your player to receive their uniform.

What is the Volunteer Check?
Starting in Minors, we require a check for $400. The check is held and if you fulfill your required volunteer hours (8 hours per family) the check will be destroyed. There is plenty of information in the Volunteer Corner of the website. Only one check is required per family.

Rookies (5/6u):
No, there is the Coach Pitch Jamboree which is mid season.
